Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the resolution and accuracy of PCBs in the transformer oil using simple cartridge pretreatment method. Also, purification ability of PCB free oils was investigated. The average recovery rate of 142 PCB congeners was 82.2%. And, average recovery rate and relative standard deviation (%RSD) of tri- to hepta- chlorinated biphenyl congener were 94.3% and below 18.5%, respectively. Average recovery of IUPAC No. 189, the surrogate for this method were 99.9%. Also, the recovery rate of 10 dioxinlike PCB congeners was 93.4%. In addition, this simple cartridge pretreatment method showed high purifying ability of interferences in PCB free oils. The recovery rate and %RSD of 39 PCB congeners in 7 PCB free oil were 85.3% and 5.3%. Further, recovery rate and %RSD of tri- to hepta- chlorinated biphenyl congener were 97.2% and 4.8%, respectively. Simple cartridge pretreatment method in this study showed high accuracy. |
